  1. REALLY needed this today! Thirteen weeks pregnant with two, non-stop little ones and I’m having a hard time keeping up. Love being reminded I’m not alone in the fight! :)

  2. Gosh, there really is nothing like a day-in-the-life post. They are, in my humble opinion, the mecca of blogging life. It’s like a reduced but minutely detailed novel of the most mundane but most fascinating details!

Also, I only have one in diapers and she’s taken to pooping every 3 hours, on the dot, so I applaud you for the many diapers you’re changing. My brain is constantly full of them as it is!

  3. I would like two more logos in 5 days!

Man, it’s the constant hunger/refusing to eat thing that drives me insane and is taking years off my life as well. Although, I’ve also had 3 in diapers and that’s no party either. Who thought children would be so high maintenance?

  4. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who’s kids seem to forget they’ve just eaten a full meal approximately thirty seconds after finishing it, and start begging for more food within an hour! They are bottomless pits!

On the birthing skirt note, one of my favorite bloggers made one a few years back for the water birth she was planning: http://www.sequinsandscribbles.net/2011/05/fresh-off-sewing-machine.html She has an Etsy shop (usually making dolls right now, I think) and she’s pregnant, so I’m not sure how much she’s taking on at the moment, but she might be a place to start if you haven’t already found one you like.

  5. I just had a water birth…technically both were water births. One in a bathtub and the other in a birthing pool. I wore athletic shorts and a sports bra with like a tank top over it. Then when I hit transition, I took off the shorts because I knew I wouldn’t want to once I got in the middle of that. It was kind of annoying since I got out of the water to pee during labor and having all those clothes dripping wet. But I preferred to be covered than not.

Also, water births are AWESOME! I could totally feel everything so much stronger when I wasn’t in the water. It’s a huge help and labor was so much better this time around (and I didn’t have a bad one the first time).

  6. if it helps, since your momma is sewing handy, she could make a swim skirt type bottom for you out of swim suit material. They sell it all fabric stores, and it doesn’t need to be nice, just but covering and probably pleated so you can spread your legs. and then a regular maternity swim top and your all covered. and if she can’t make it I’m sure you could find a swim skirt, that’s separate from the bottoms or a wrap style that would work.

also, your boys poop almost as much as me ;)

  7. This made me chuckle and has inspired me to post something of what a ‘work from home’ mother’s day looks like. AND…I have an idea about your water birth outfit. I don’t mind being stark naked while giving birth (it doesn’t make any sense because I am very modest and hate even wearing leggings if I don’t have a shirt over it that goes to the knees), but you could buy a cheapo swim skirt on ebay and cut out the suit liner, leaving you with a skirt that covers the bottom when you emerge from the water. Just a thought ;)
