  1. I found myself eating up every word you wrote. My personal hobby is crocheting, and like you said, if I don’t have my crochet time…I can feel myself get grouchier/less patient etc. In grad school they taught us (amazing that they have to “teach” us this) that we need to take care of ourselves. If we don’t take care of ourselves, how can we ever hope to take care of others. Not to mention the crux of my program was that we believe for people to truly heal they need healing mentally, physically, and spiritually (I’m a Pastoral Counselor – forgot that minor detail) Also, your husbands “smash your anger to the cross” comment was beautiful…I think that will stick with me for a while. Anyway, sorry for the long comment! But I loved reading this post and have greatly enjoyed your blog, thank you!

  2. Hi Carolyn,

I came across your corner of the internet a while back, through reading Conversion Diary. I’m converting to the faith and thinking of starting a blog. On learning to blog more effectively, you may be interested in this book http://www.amazon.ca/Blog-Inc-Blogging-Passion-Community/dp/1452107203 (it’s an easy read) as well as The Church and New Media http://www.amazon.com/The-Church-New-Media-Activists/dp/1592760333

Anyway, I enjoy reading your posts…most people I know are atheists so I spend Friday nights lost in the Catholic blog world…

    In Christ,
    Rachel
